Definitely. Just take a coarse grit sanding paper, rub the edges and have at it.

With the rounded curves...attempt a 3-d piece.

Murano owes its worldwide fame to blown glass. The works created by the skillful hands of the island's master glassblowers have been exported East and West for centuries now, providing some of the most exquisite decorations for royal palaces and princely homes, and arousing the wonder and delight of travellers, poets and writers throughout the ages. Magic of murano glass

During his time in Thailand, the Italian designer has put his talent to good use, designing elegant chandeliers made from the world-famous Murano glass. Recently, Bergomi decided to open his own showroom in Bangkok to showcase his unique collection of chandeliers. He has also put up for sale different decorative items, including antiques, that he has hand-picked from Italy.

"My first showroom was opened in London about 13 years ago," said Bergomi. "The Fabio showroom in Bangkok is the second one. I love to put my new elegant designed chandeliers, glass objects, as well as other decorative items made of Murano glass here on display."

Murano is a small island located off the shore of Venice, Italy, and is the cradle of the oldest glass-making tradition in Europe, with its origins traced back to 982. Today, the artisans of Murano still employ these century-old techniques in order to craft a wide range of items, including contemporary art glass, glass figurines, glass chandeliers, and more. Murano glass-making is one of the world's most valuable craft heritages.
