Really does help me relax!
I had an eye pillow made by a different manufacturer for about 10 years before it finally tore open. Unable to see how I could live without it, I repaired it with duct tape (hey, I'm a guy, what do you expect), but I figured it was time to get a new one. I was pleased to see on Amazon that many... -
Wonderful Eye Pillow!
If you are looking for an eye pillow, do yourself a favor and purchase this one! It has become one of my favorite things. When I use it I feel relaxed and well cared for. I love it for many reasons: the fabric is silk & velvet, it has a zipper so you can take out the herbal contents and hand wash...

If I were to make a pillow filled with dried lavender, how long will the scent last? will it really help me sleep?
It seemed to help me. The scent lasted a very long time--more than a year.Definitely worth a try.

I am making one of those rice pillows that you can put in the microwave to heat. I picked some lavender to put in the pillows, but don't know how much to add. The pattern I found calls for 5 cups of rice, so how much lavender should be added?
I've always just used lavender oil. Kudos for picking fresh lavender, sorry i can't answer your question though

These 25 exquisite hand-embroidery projects are the perfect antidote to today’s throwaway culture: they’re meant to last and to remind us how generations before us lived—appreciating, preserving, and passing down their lovingly-stitched handiwork to families and friends. Anyone would treasure this lovely array of unique textiles, which include soft furnishings, home accessories, and gifts. They’re arranged in five appealing thematic categories, all inspired by traditional designs: “Bugs and Botanicals,” “Celebrations,” “Country Garden,” “Hearts,” and “Seaside.” Create a charming apple cushion, heart-adorned apron, lavender pillow, dragonfly picture, berry wreath throw, as well as tea cozies, table runners, napkins, and sachets. The techniques—all beautifully and clearly explained—include chain and running stitches, satin stitch, French knot, and many others suitable for beginners.
Quick Craft Post: Onesie Lavender Pillow - Red Ted Art
A friend dropped off some cute Onesies for crafting… they were adorable and tiny. Because of that the cute little designs had so little fabric around them, that what I could make with them was limited… so thought of making these quick lavender pillows – she can keep them in with her girls’ clothes or when they need settling at night, put them under their pillow. Lavender is wonderful.
I literally cut out as much fabric around the bird and teddy as possible and then just gave it a quick sew around on the sewing machine. T-shirt fabric is hard to sew, so take it easy. Afterwards you can squish it a bit to shape it.

Underneath the teddy’s right arm, you can see there is a press stud which I had to keep, as there were was so little fabric....
Separation anxiety in dogs– Solution? | All About Relaxing
I have a 2 year old Morkie (Maltese Yorkie). My husband and I got him from a rescue. He was neglected and left in a crate for 12 hours a day. He is very jealous and has severe separation anxiety. We have tried everything! (leaving for 10 seconds, changing up the routine, no fanfare, lavender pillows, chewable “relaxing” tablets, rewarding him when we get home, ignoring him for 10 min after we get home, a dog shaped pillow, etc). Nothing seems to work! He still shakes from head to toe, has diarrhea, barks, and pees.
I am now pregnant, and his separation anxiety has switched from solely anxiety to behavior issues as well. As soon as we put him outside, he pees on our door. As he is peeing, I will move him away from the door and spank him. He will then proceed to pee somewhere else that is unacceptable. The other day I got out of the shower to find him on the kitchen table peeing!! I spoke with a trainer about his actions, and the trainer said that he is probably upset about the changes in our life and that we should play with him more. Yesterday we played with him almost all day, and his behavior was worse than ever when we tried to leave for the grocery.
