Both initiatives came together when Flight Engineer, Paolo Nespoli, an Italian astronaut of the European Space Agency and chosen as one of the three person crew aboard the Soyuz TMA-20 which docked with the ISS - International Space Station packed a little something extra: a “good luck amulet” 15,5 gram and 30 mm diameter silver prototype coin issued by the Italian State Mint - Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato for the UFWC project.
