It was just right for me
I got this Miraculous Medal and had it blessed because I love Mary, and she specifically asked for this medal to be stuck. For me it is the perfect size, and I prefer Silver to gold. BTW, it been a couple of months now and it hasn't blacken or turned any strange color which most silver does on... -
Wonderful
A close friend of mine sent me one of these medals in a care package, and I couldn't be happier. The Virgin Mary has always had a special place in my heart, and now I can keep her beside me at all times. This medal is small (probably too small for young children) but still readable and easy to...

Church dedicates Ponzini Hall to beloved pastor
TEXAS CITY — Despite long hours, hard work and constant sacrifice, most parish priests will see little recognition in this life. A few might be recognized with the title of monsignor, but few will share in the twin honors that have been accorded the Rev. Tom Ponzini.
Not only did his church, St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal, christen its new fellowship center Ponzini Hall on Wednesday night, Father Tom also has been immortalized by the perpetuation of popular island menu items: Oysters Ponzini and Gaido’s shrimp bisque.
That’s because en route to the priesthood, Ponzini put in a significant stint at Galveston’s Gaido’s Restaurant, where he applied his University of Houston culinary arts degree to perfecting items still on the menu.
And all this was good preparation for the priesthood, said retired restaurateur Pauli Gaido, who worked with Ponzini.

Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal - Seton Home Study School
No matter how the election goes, no matter how sorrowful we may be that wrong candidates won the various elections, or how happy we may be that the right candidates won, we must stay in constant prayer. As Christians, we do not put our faith in the princes of this world, who will always fail and falter to some degree. We put our faith only in the Prince of Peace, who never fails to fulfill his promises and never falters in giving us the graces we need.
The Blessed Mother appeared to Sister Catherine Labouré in June of 1830 in a convent in Paris, France. The Blessed Mother said to Sister Catherine, “The times are very evil. Sorrows will come upon France. The throne will be overturned. The whole world will be upset by miseries of every kind.”
When Catherine’s face expressed deep sadness at these words, the Blessed Mother said, “Come to the foot of the altar. There, graces will be shed upon all who ask for them.” Home schooling families must never forget these words, that at the foot of the altar, by going to Mass and receiving Jesus in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, we can receive the graces we need to overcome the evil that seems to surround us.
