The question is: Andrew has seven 20 cent coins and five 50 cent coins in his piggy bank. What is the smallest number of coins he might have to shake out of his pig to be certain of having two 50 cent coins?
9 coins. And here is the reason:
As long as there is a chance of shaking out a 20 cent coin, the only way to absolutely guarantee two 50 cent coins is to get all the 20 cent coins out first.

I want to know if the 2005 five cent coin well be wort something in a few Years it was only made on 2005 and 1938 or something like that's.
Maybe in a hundred years from now...
There has to be something unique or special about it to be worth anything. There are millions of 2005 nickels, so it'll be worth exactly 5c.

Our View: A penny saved worth millions to taxpayers
One hundred and two years ago today, the U.S. Mint issued the first Lincoln penny.
Last year, the Mint manufactured and circulated 3.49 billion shiny new pennies, at a face value of $34.9 million. It cost $62.3 million to make the coins — a net loss of $27.4 million.
It was the fifth consecutive year the Mint lost money making and circulating pennies. In the last five years, the Mint lost a total of $117 million manufacturing a coin that isn’t worth the cost it takes to make it. It now costs 1.79 cents to make a penny — the highest unit cost on record for the 1-cent coin.
The nickel ratio is worse. It costs 9.22 cents to make one 5-cent coin. Together, those two coins accounted for a net loss last year to the Mint of $42.6 million — nearly double the $22 million loss recorded in 2009.
The reason it costs so much to manufacture is the price of the metals used. In the past five years, the prices of copper and zinc — the primary metals used in pennies — have increased more than 70 percent.

A Wise And Portable Hedge Against Inflation
Silver Coins – more precisely 90% silver coins were the basis and staple of US circulating currency for 170 years, that is until 1965. This is when the price of silver bullion started increasing and approaching its monetary or face value; the government stepped in and replaced the silver coins with coins made of base or clad metal in 1965. Shortly thereafter, the American public started hoarding the 1964 or older silver coins because the silver value far exceeded the face value. During the large silver melts of the 1980’s, millions of these coins were refined into silver bars, jewelry and numerous other forms. Since then, all of the US 90% silver coins have become scarcer due to attrition and these massive meltings. Amazingly, In spite of these facts, 90% US silver coins remain to be the least expensive and most popular way to buy and sell silver bullion. In many cases, 90% silver trades at just slight premiums above prevailing Spot or market price of Silver on world exchanges and at some times, even slight discounts are available....
