Kansas City Icons plate debuts September 17 at Shop Beautiful
A new “Kansas City Icons” collectible plate will make its exclusive Kansas City debut at an event featuring Peggy Karr, an innovator of fused enameled glass functional art, at Shop Beautiful on Saturday, September 17th. The plate, commissioned by Shop Beautiful for its 75th anniversary celebration, was created in collaboration with Kansas City artist Mike Savage and Peggy Karr Glass. The collectible plate features many of the city’s most memorable and defining features interpreted in Savage’s distinctive artistic style and incorporated in fused enameled glass. The plate is sold exclusively at Shop Beautiful and online at www.shopbeautiful.com. It is priced at $89.95. Customers purchasing the plate may have Peggy Karr personally sign it or other new Peggy Karr plates from 10 am – noon in the Brookside shop or from 2 – 4 pm at the Hawthorne Plaza shop. For assurance and convenience, customers may pre-order their personally signed plate by August 31. In addition to the Kansas City Icons plate, Shop Beautiful is offering limited edition prints of the original painting. Small prints are $35, medium $55.
