Customer Reviews:
  1. Cheap materials
This baseball is plasticy to the touch. As the players hands get sweaty or damp, the ball gets slicker, unlike genuine leather balls. It's a low quality ball, and not even good for playing catch.
  2. Different But Excellent
This product Is A Bit Slightly Different From The Picture But Feels A Bit Plasticky To The Touch And Its Great....The Ball Is Not Easily Broken And Great For Soft Play

Has there been anybody in the history of baseball that have thrown with both right and left hand in the same game.

Yes. There have been a few "switch pitchers"

Greg Harris did Sept 28, 1995. He was the last guy to do this in the MLB.

I also remember hearing a story of a minor league pitcher who did this in a game.

A-Rod looking forward to MLB meeting

Third baseman Alex Rodriguez of the Yankees has made progress in his rehabilitation program for a right knee injury as he awaits a meeting with baseball officials about his alleged involvement in games of high stakes poker.

Major League Baseball began an investigation after Star magazine reported last month that many people have seen A-Rod plays games hosted in hotels and residences in Hollywood.

"I'm looking forward to it," Rodriguez said Wednesday. "I concentrate on baseball."

No date for the meeting was announced.

Richard Rubenstein, publicist Rodriguez said in a statement last week that the history of the star contains "numerous factual inaccuracies".

Rodriguez completed his first week of baseball operations Wednesday in an indoor batting cage at George Steinbrenner field due to rain. He had surgery on his right knee July 14.

"So far, so good," he said.

Rodriguez, hitting .295 with 13 homers and 52 RBIs, could play in minor league games this weekend. The Yankees expect him to join the team next week.

Washington Nationals' 2011 Draft Update: One ... - Federal Baseball

The last time there were real questions as to whether or not a choice of top Washington Nationals Nats would sign and did sign was 2008 when they drafted the right-hander Aaron Crow out of the University of Missouri recovery ninth overall. The Nats and their 1st round pick failed to reach an agreement before the deadline to sign selections of the year and Crow was forced to connect with the FT independent. Worth Cats, playing there for one season before returning to the project and get selected by the Kansas City Royals. The Nationals, of course, got a '09 draft pick compensation and used the "Raven" pick to draft Drew Storen out of the 10th overall after they had drafted Stanford Stephen Strasburg # 1.

The drama went down with Strasbourg the final minutes before the deadline with the Nats, and former team president Stan Kasten, in particular, later joking that they had signed with him time to lose. "People thought it would at the last minute," Kasten told reporters, "We do not even need that last minute." 2010 no.1 draft pick Bryce Harper had left school early, got his GED, played one year of junior college ball and made sure he was available for the first version, he was eligible to enter, there were is little doubt he would sign since it was clearly so eager to get his career over....

Baseball Prospectus | On the Beat: Taking Central Stage

Jim Leyland and Manny Acta spent late Tuesday afternoon downplaying the significance of what was going to be both of their teams' biggest game of the season to this point.

"Every game is a big game," said Leyland, the Tigers' manager. "We opened the season in New York against the Yankees, and everyone was saying those three games were big games, and they were the first three games of the season. To me, every game is a big game. These games in Cleveland are big games, but then we go to Baltimore this weekend, and those are big games, too. Every game is important in the major leagues."

Acta, the Indians' manager, shared similar sentiments while his team began taking batting practice. Though his team entered the three-game series four games behind the Tigers and only one game ahead of the surging White Sox, Acta downplayed the season coming down to these games.

"It's only important because we either need to pick up some ground or make sure they don't get too far ahead of us," Acta said. "I don't think these three games are going to settle anything. There is still a lot of baseball left to be played."
