Police Blotter: Burglaries on Bells Mill, Ardleigh and Sunset
Auto theft … A resident reported Aug. 7, 5 p.m., that he parked his car at the intersection of Stenton and Willow Grove avenues, and when he returned, his car was gone, police said. According to police, the missing car is a white 2005 Chevy G1500 with Pennsylvania registration plates YXK1389.
Burglary … A resident of the 100 block of East Bells Mill Road reported Aug. 8, 2:30 p.m., that his alarm system went off, and he discovered that his basement door was open, and a glass pane in the door was broken, although nothing appeared to be missing, police said.
Burglary … A resident of the 8100 block of Ardleigh Street reported Aug. 4, 8:15 a.m., that someone had entered his house through a side window and a Toshiba laptop, valued at $1,000, was missing, police said.
Auto theft … A resident reported Aug. 6, 1:40 p.m., that while she was parked at Germantown and Rex avenues, she left her keys in her car, and when she returned five minutes later, her car was gone, police said. According to police, the missing car is a red 1997 Ford Escort with Pennsylvania registration plates DFB3924.
