Your best bet would be to take your coin to a local coin dealer. They will be able to tell you so much more by evaluation the condition of the coin. They will also know the amount minted and what it is going for in today's market.

Coin Rarities & Related Topics: The Jury Verdict in the case of the Langbord ...
On July 20 the U.S. District Court in Philadelphia, the jury returned its verdict in the trial ten days on the basis of ten 1933 Double Eagles ($ 20 gold coins). The numismatic community was horrified that a jury unanimously found that the ten pieces were stolen from the Mint of the United States and are the property of the U.S. government. There are few, if any, evidence that these parts were stolen and some collectors are concerned that this case will set a precedent for the U.S. Treasury Department power grab famous rare coins collectors, including coins that were openly discussed for generations.Please click to read the article last week in which I explain that unregistered room for play "business were considered legitimate in the real world and have been a tradition at the Mint in Philadelphia from the years 1790 to the 1930s, and perhaps even later.
The judge in that case has yet to rule on an important motion by Barry Berke, the chief advocate for family-swiTT Langbord. Berke called the jury's verdict be set aside (rescinded) because lawyers from the U.S. Department of the Treasury did not prove their case. United StatesTreasury Department was required to prove that the ten 1933 Double Eagles were stolen from the Philadelphia Mint in 1930.
